Safer Internet Day is an event that takes place every year during the month of February.
It is organized by Insafe, the European network for a Safer Internet and, in Spain, by Protegeles, as the Spanish member of the Insafe network.
In 2008, 55 countries from all five continents participated in the celebration of this event.
Its 5th edition took place in 12 February, 2008.
During February 11 and 12, Protegeles drove a bus decorated with the logo and colors of the event to some primary and secondary schools in the Madrid Autonomous Region and took Protegeles’ team of psychologists and specialists in education to the schools for them to inform children about the risks linked to Internet. read more
